‘Celebrity Big Brother’ Betting Odds Episode 4

–This is the first season of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ produced for the US market.

–’Big Brother’ is a spin-off of a Dutch TV series of the same name.

–Episode 4 of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ will air February 11 on CBS TV with Episode 5 on February 12. Both episodes will begin at 8 PM Eastern.

It’s going to be a mess updating the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ betting odds before every episode but that’s what I intend to do. Anyone can throw up numbers for who’ll win the entire season and call it a day but I bring a little extra ‘to the table’. It’s no different than updating numbers on the NCAA basketball tournament after the first to days, for example. Since we’ve got episodes this week on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday I’ll have to raise my game mightily to keep everything updated and posted.

Episode 3 took place on Friday night and resulted in the first elimination from the house as none other than former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell got the heave ho. ‘The Iceman’ thinks is that because he was a threat to the other players. Asked by People Magazine why he was the one voted for eviction Liddell opined:

I think because I was one of the strongest players. They were worried about me. James (Maslow) was able to convince them that I was more of a threat than he was.

Shannon Elizabeth was the houseguest most responsible for getting ‘The Iceman’ ousted. In an interview with TV Guide, Liddell says that it was a bad tactical decision on her part:

I don’t think she can trust James (Maslow) as much as she could trust me, so I think it’s going to cost her. I think he’s going to take her out as soon as he can.

I didn’t expect much out of Liddell on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’. He was one of three longshots to win the entire season at +2500 and the #3 choice for elimination at +750.

The other big news of the week was the hospitalization of former ‘The Apprentice’ contestant turned Donald Trump presidential staffer (that’s a sentence I never thought I’d write) Omarosa Manigault was briefly hospitalized for an asthma attack. We’ll apparently find out more about the situation tonight per this CBS press release:

“Omarosa has returned to the Celebrity Big Brother house after receiving medical attention last night and today for an asthma attack. This development will be addressed on the Sunday night broadcast.”

Not sure when this happened but Omarosa is now simply using her first name a la ‘Madonna’ or ‘Prince’. Not sure she’s earned the gravitas to do that but I’ll begin doing so as well. I don’t mean I’ll start going simply by ‘Jim’ or ‘James’–I mean I’ll honor Omarosa’s wishes and start referring to her without her last name attached.
