Available Markets

CarbonSports is an all-in-one site including a sportsbook, casino, racebook, live poker, and a few other betting options. Carbon launched as a poker site in the early 2000s but soon expanded to include a popular sportsbook. The other options have been added in the years since. Carbon is open to customers from the US and Canada; in fact, the site’s insistence on using English and inclusion of US dollars as currency is a strong indication that the site is actively pursuing American and Canadian customers.

Banking

CarbonSports only accepts two deposit methods from their American customers:

  • VISA deposits are limited to $1,000. You can also use VIA-branded gift cards.
  • Western Union deposits are limited to $990 and require a fee based on the amount.

The site’s withdrawal methods are a little more varied:

  • VISA withdrawals are available if you made a VISA deposit, limited to $1,000.
  • Western Union withdrawals are available for Western Union depositors, limited to $990.
  • Check withdrawals (sent via courier) are also available for a fee, limited to $2,500.

In order to verify your account for withdrawals, the site requires you send both a valid color copy of your photo ID (meaning a government-issued driver’s license or passport) and an actual copy of a recent utility bill, recent meaning “issued within the last 6 months.” The utility bill has to show your exact name and address as listed on your account. Certain withdrawals also require that you send the site a voided check or a bank statement. Good news though – the site promises you’ll only have to go through this process once, at the start of your membership.

Bonuses & Promotions

Sign-Up Bonus

First-time depositors who deposit $50 or more are eligible for a 50% deposit match bonus worth up to $100. A 6x rollover requirement (six times the deposit-plus-bonus amount) must be accumulated before all this bonus cash is released.

$100 Free Bet

A free bet worth up to $100 is available on all reload deposits for the life of your membership. Reload your account with at least $50 and you’ll earn a free bet worth 100% of your total deposit. Losing bets are reimbursed; winning bets are paid out without a rollover requirement.

Refer-a-Friend

Refer a friend and you’re eligible for a bonus worth 25% of your friend’s total deposit up to a total of $100. A 5x rollover requirement is in place; users can refer an unlimited number of customers but can only earn $200 a month in referral payments. Unpaid referral bonuses rollover to the next month.

Design & Interface

The interface at Carbon is pretty standard, with lots of dark color backgrounds and silver and chrome accents. I find everything easy to read, and the colors none-too-garish. The layout is simple and standard, with a list of available markets on the left side of the screen and a breakdown of specific bets available in those markets popping up in the center field.

What I like about CarbonSports layout and bet slip interface is that it’s well-organized so everything you want to do is located exactly where you think it should be. You can easily switch between options like straight bets, if bets, teasers, reverse bets, etc., all from a single drop-down menu on the betting slip.

Once you select a sports market, you’ll gain the ability to switch between types of bets (point spread, money line, over/unders, etc.) as well as access to a series of drop-down boxes that amplify each of those selections. You can do stuff like buy and give points and form parlays from this same feature.

Carbon’s mobile betting service leaves a little to be desired. One positive feature – the site look identical in mobile and desktop form. I like that the screen fits my larger-than-average iPhone 6+ display, and that everything that’s part of the mobile service’s design mimics the traditional desktop system. All markets available in desktop format are available as part of CarbonSports Mobile.

The live betting selection at CarbonSports on the day I visited to review the site was disappointing, even for a US-facing site. The only markets which showed available or scheduled live bets were baseball and soccer. It’s nice that CarbonSports is trying to get into the Live Betting game, but as of right now their live services are a bit below-average.

Customer Service

You can contact CarbonSports via the following four methods:

  • Toll-free phone: 1-866-888-4707
  • Online contact form: click here
  • Live chat: click here
  • Email: support@carbonsports.ag

English is the only language available for customer service contact.

Conclusion

CarbonSports is one of very few sportsbook-casino-poker sites that accepts bets from Americans. They’re also really open to the Canadian market, a group of bettors that face restrictions similar to Americans. The site has a relatively-small customer base, typical for a site that seems to be appealing directly to American bettors. It’s nice that Americans and Canadians have almost unrestricted access to the kind of betting options usually reserved for customers from other parts of the world.

If you live in the United States and you want to place wagers on sports, you have to consider CarbonSports. They cover all the major US sports as well as a huge list of sports markets and leagues from all over the world, including political, financial, futures, and even video game betting. You should ignore the longer-than-average withdrawal times in favor of easy access to an awesome list of markets and promotions.
