‘Big Brother’ Season 19 Week 6 Betting Odds

–CBS has renewed the long running ‘Big Brother’ reality show for a 19th and 20th season.

–’Big Brother’ is a spin-off of a Dutch TV series of the same name.

–’Big Brother’ airs Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday on CBS TV.

Ramses Soto got the heave-ho in Week 5 of ‘Big Brother’ Season 19 leaving us with twelve contestants. Soto ‘officially’ finishes 13th since Cody Nickson has returned from the dead. We’re just going to forget his elimination ever happened for betting purposes since it appears that’s the ‘Big Brother’ producers are handling it as just another plot twist. The good news is that no previously eliminated contestants returned this week so it looks like ‘smooth sailing’ going forward as far as oddsmaking is concerned.

‘Big Brother’ continues to do very well in the ratings though the numbers for last week’s Wednesday’s show were off somewhat. That was more than compensated for on Thursday where the show nearly doubled its closest Thursday night key demo rival. Overall, it was 18.63 million viewers for the three show set and that’s very solid. The dynamic we’ve seen this season continued with Sunday’s show having the lowest viewership numbers of the week and Thursday’s having the highest. In theory, the three shows a week format sounds like overkill but it’s definitely working for CBS here. Every ‘Big Brother’ episode they air brings in right around 6 million viewers. The season premiere had a 5.88 million viewership and last Thursday’s show had 6.33 million so the overall numbers are heading in the right direction. Since the start of Week Two every episode has done a 1.8 or 1.9 rating with the exception of the ‘extra show’ on Friday, June 21 which did a 1.5. Clearly that had as much to do with the unusual time slot as anything and two days later the Sunday show was back to a 1.8 rating and 7 share. Most importantly for CBS–every episode of ‘Big Brother’ aired this year has been the #1 show in the timeslot and #1 for the night. It has remained competitive with ‘America’s Got Talent’ in the revised ratings including delayed (DVR and streaming) viewing as well.

The odds below have been revised to reflect the departure of Ramses Soto:
