GTBets Deposits and Withdrawals

GTBets Deposits and Withdrawals

GTBets is a combination casino and sportsbook site that does business with customers all over the world, including Canadians and Americans. GTBets conducts business in English only, a sign that their focus is on the North American market. Popular features of the site include a standard $250 welcome bonus, a $5 Progressive Parlay bet (with a top prize that regularly reaches $1 million or more), and solid options for deposits and withdrawals.

This site is better known as a sportsbook than an all-in-one betting site. GTBets’ casino (live dealer games and all) seems like more of an after-thought than a feature. Having said that, you won’t find many internationally-minded sports markets in their sportsbook, and bonuses and other rebate deals are all focused on the big four US pro sports leagues.

GTBets is a new online bookmaker, having launching in 2011. I’m impressed that the site has maintained ties with its mostly-North American customer base and offers a wide array of deposit and withdrawal methods. Customers based outside the US will be disappointed by the site’s exclusive use of the US dollar, but the fact that they offer Americans and Canadians unlimited access to a Web-based sports and casino service is a big deal for people in North America.

Currency Support

The US dollar is the only currency that GTBets does business in. Deposits made using a branded credit card, debit card, or gift card funded with a currency besides the US dollar are subject to currency exchange fees. GTBets doesn’t go into any specifics on what sort of fees to expect. Contact customer service if you have specific questions about currency conversion fees.

SportsInteraction Deposit Methods

Here’s a list of the site’s available deposit methods:

• VISA
The site warns that you may be charged “foreign transaction fees” by your bank, and that all VISA and MasterCard deposits are also subject to currency exchange fees. No fee. $35 minimum, max depends on player status.

• MasterCard
See the “VISA” section above – the same all applies here. No fee. $35 minimum, max depends on player status.

• Pre-Paid Gift Cards

Here are further details on the withdrawal methods available at GTBets:

• Bank Wire
According to the terms and conditions page, you’ll have to contact the cashier department before you attempt a bank wire withdrawal to make sure they have enough volume available. The site promises you’ll receive your bank wire within 12 business days. You may incur additional fees depending on your bank’s policies. $100 minimum, $5,000 maximum.

• Check by Courier
GTBets uses DHL to deliver checks to non-PO Box addresses. $100 minimum, $2,500 maximum.

• Direct Cash
GTBets promises Direct Cash payments are received within three business days. Available on a limited basis from Monday through Friday, so contact the site before you attempt to use this method. Take note that credit card depositors are not allowed to accept Direct Cash withdrawals. Minimum $300, maximum $600.

• Quick Cash
The site advertises a 48 hour turnaround time for Quick Cash payouts. Like Direct Cash, it’s limited in volume and can only be made on Mondays through Fridays. Not available to credit card depositors. Minimum $300, maximum $600.

• Back2Card
Not all accounts are eligible for Back2Card service – namely US and Canadian customers. But you should still contact the site to see if you’re eligible. Minimum$50, maximum $2,500.

• Skrill
Skrill deposits are required to receive Skrill payouts. Customers from the US and Canada are restricted from using Skrill. Minimum $50, maximum $2,000.

• Neteller
Neteller deposits are required to receive Neteller payouts. Customers from the US and Canada are restricted from using Neteller. Minimum $50, maximum $2,000.

Conclusion

GTBets is a strange little site in that it does business with people normally cut out of the sportsbook market (Canadians and Americans), and only includes a sportsbook and casino. The site only conducts business in English using the US dollar, but purports to be aimed at a global market.

I like the site’s variety of available deposit and withdrawal methods, even if the main focus of GTBets’ marketing department (Americans and Canadians) can’t use half the methods. It’s even worse that North American customers can’t use the methods apparently preferred by the site, judging by special bonus offers made for Neteller and Skrill. This site is best for American and Canadian sports bettors, and seems to be set up for them, in every aspect except for variety of withdrawal and deposit methods.
