TopBet Bonuses

TopBet Bonuses

TopBet is a sportsbook and casino combo site that’s open to bets from United States customers. Launched in 2011, the site’s casino games are built on an odd mix of AceGaming and BetSoft casino software, with a proprietary sportsbook interface and design that’s about on par with every other site in the industry. The site’s gambling operations are licensed by the Curacao Gaming Control Board. TopBet is best-known as a sportsbook, and is most popular in the American market.

TopBet is pretty clearly a US-focused sportsbook. They use the US dollar only, and customer service and the site’s software is only available in English. Most of the promos are aimed at bets on major US sports. The markets are pretty limited outside of typical US fan markets. It’s an American-friendly (and American-obsessed) sportsbook and casino site, and that’s great news for those of us living in the good old United States.

TopBet is not a major player on the world stage, but they’re not meant to be. The US market is so strangled by legislation that legitimate sports and casino websites are rare. Simply offering bets to Americans is a big deal if you live in the USA. The bonuses and promotions described below aren’t going to set the world on fire, but they do have some interested features, like low rollover requirements.

Welcome Bonuses

The main welcome bonus at TopBet is a deposit match bonus aimed at first-time depositors interested in wagering on sports and/or casino games. When you make your first deposit to the site, you’ll earn a 50% deposit match bonus worth up to $250. The minimum deposit amount is $25. The rollover requirement for this bonus is 5x for sportsbook bets and 20x for all casino games. This is a more-than-decent rollover requirement, considering other US-facing sites are charging as much as 50x the deposit plus the bonus amount.

The site also offers a sportsbook-specific welcome bonus that changes to match the professional US sports season. At the time of this review, for instance, it was based on Major League Baseball. First-time depositors who plan on being sportsbook customers and betting a lot on baseball are eligible for the same 50% deposit match up to $250 in the above bonus, but with a few extras. Included is a weekly $10 free MLB bet (on a limited number of markets until the playoffs start) and a $5 Risk Free casino bonus. The casino bonus offer allows you to make one $5 bet, and if you lose, the site will reimburse you the $5. Rollover requirements apply to these additional small offers, but weren’t publicly available. Contact customer service if you need more details by emailing support@topbet.eu.

Referral Bonus

If you refer a friend to TopBet and that friend makes a “qualifying deposit,” you can earn 25% of their first deposit (up to a max of $250) as a bonus. In order to qualify, your friend’s deposit must bet at least $25, and you must claim the deposit within 48 hours of its completion. The rollover requirement for this bonus is 3x for sportsbook bets and 20x for bets on casino games.

Casino Rebate

You can earn 10% of your weekly casino losses (weeks run Tuesday through Monday) as a rebate, if you meet certain conditions. You have to lose at least $200 on a list of specific games, and you have to make a request to customer service via email. Mobile losses don’t count, as far as I can tell. The site has a complex little equation to determine exactly how much of a rebate you should earn, so don’t expect a literal 10% of your losses back. That’s probably not going to happen.

Social Media Promos

TopBet posts one matchup per week on their Facebook and Twitter accounts, and if you pick the exact score, you’ll be in the running for a $250 prize, no rollover required. Follow the instructions on the website and with a little luck you’ll have some extra dough in your account for weekend games.

$10 Thursday Night NBA Free Bet / $10 Sunday Night MLB Free Bet

This offer changes with the sports season – at the time of this review, the offers were for the NBA and MLB. On Sunday and Thursday nights, customers can get a free sport-specific wager of up to $10. This is a weird little bonus, part incentive to try something new, part incentive to bet on an otherwise “off” night. I couldn’t find specific rollover information for this bonus without logging in – once logged in, I was surprised to see that it was 6x for sports and 25x for casino bets, a little higher than I’m used to at TopBet.

Conclusion

The things I like about TopBet have nothing to do with bonuses. They accept bets from US customers, they have a decent lineup of deposit and withdrawal methods, the site looks good, and they have a good reputation as an above-board operator. Having dug deeper into their promotions page after writing this, I have to admit I’m impressed with their lineup of bonuses.

They seem to have an offer for any kind of depositor, along with incentives to try new ways of betting. Best of all, their rollover requirements are among the lowest I’ve seen in the US-facing betting industry.

Does TopBet offer some downsides? Sure – every site does. Most of those deposit and withdrawal methods I bragged about above are unavailable to US customers, who pretty much have to depend on checks and money orders sent via mail or courier.

TopBet has started to increase their variety of sports markets, so even though we think of the site as pretty much US-exclusive, they’re becoming more appealing to bettors from Canada and Europe. Still, I’d only seriously consider this site as an American citizen with limited access to bigger global sites. If you’re like me, and living in America without access to the world’s biggest bookmakers, TopBet is a great choice.
