‘Top Chef Colorado’– Episode 9 Betting Odds

–’Top Chef Colorado’ is the title of the 15th season of the ‘Top Chef’ franchise.

–The finale of ‘Top Chef Colorado’ was filmed in Aspen during the Food and Wine Classic.

–Episode 9 of ‘Top Chef Colorado’ will air on February 1, 2018 at 10:00 PM Eastern on Bravo

Bravo TV’s official press blurb for Episode 8 of the season announced ‘restaurant wars’ and suggested that it was ‘the most anticipated challenge of the season’. When the smoke had cleared, Joseph Flamm won the elimination challenge and Claudette Zepeda-Wilkins was eliminated. Here’s the full Bravo TV preview blurb for Episode 8:

In the most anticipated challenge of the season, the chefs face-off in Restaurant Wars, creating and executing two new restaurant concepts from design to dishes in a matter of days. Culinary icons Bruce and Eric Bromberg of Blue Ribbon join the judges to experience and evaluate each restaurant’s successes and failures. Nothing is ever as heated as a kitchen under this kind of pressure. Which chef will crumble under the weight of the challenge?

That sets up a ‘Sudden Death Quickfire Challenge‘ for Episode 9:

Cooking for Michelin-starred Chef David Kinch adds pressure to an already stressful Sudden Death Quickfire based on edible flowers and the chefs are crushed as one of their own is sent packing. Then, the chefs are challenged to put an elevated slant on pre-game food as they host the ultimate tailgate party at Sports Authority Field at Mile High for the Denver Broncos, the judges, Mayor Michael Hancock and BBQ Pitmaster Adam Perry Lang. Who will throw a game winning touchdown and which chef will make a fourth-quarter fumble?

A big shakeup in the ‘Top Chef’ Power Ratings this week. Joseph Flamm won the elimination challenge which moved him from 0 to +2. Carrie Baird got another ‘High’ score which combined with Fatima Ali’s first ‘Low’ score of the year moved her into sole possession of the power ratings ‘lead’ at +3. Baird had a ‘Low’ score in Week 1 but won the Week 2 Elimination Challenge. She hasn’t had a ‘Low’ score since and has had two ‘high’ scores. As noted above, Fatima Ali had her first ‘Low’ of the season. She may still be the ‘pound for pound’ best chef in the field but based on the power ratings she is coasting somewhat. She ripped off three ‘High’ scores in the first three weeks of the season but hasn’t had one since. Bruce Kalman is likely the ‘hottest’ contestant at the moment. Kalman had a ‘Low’ score in Weeks 3 and 4 but got the Elimination Challenge win in Week 5. He’s had three ‘High’ score’s since. Based on his impressive ‘recent form’ I calculated the Power Rating table based only on Weeks 5 through 9. The results are below the full season power ratings and look very different.

First of all, here’s the points format for the power ratings:

WIN = +2
HIGH = +1
IN = 0
LOW = -1
