American Society of Cinematographers Awards 2018 Betting Odds

–The Academy Award ‘Precursors’ are second tier awards from Critics Groups and Professional Guilds

–Hollywood observers follow ‘Precursor’ results trying to predict the Academy Award winners

–The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) will hold their 2018 awards ceremony on February 17 in Los Angeles

Another one of the ‘precursors’ in advance of the Academy Awards will take place on February 17 in Los Angeles as The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) will hold their 32nd annual awards. The ASC is somewhat unique among Hollywood professional groups in that it’s neither a labor union or a guild.

The ASC was originally founded in New York City by Arthur Charles Miller, Phil Rosen and Frank Kugler as the ‘Cinema Camera Club’. Miller left to work in California not long after and took the organization West. The ASC was chartered in California in 1919 and the group maintains the claim that they’re the “oldest continuously operating motion picture society in the world”.

Nominations for the 2018 ASC Awards were released on January 8, 2018. These trade guild awards are often very accurate at predicting the corresponding Academy Award. Here are the official SPORTS BETTING EXPERTS odds on the 32nd American Society of Cinematographers Awards:
