Like most reality TV shows, the viewership of ‘The Amazing Race’ is down from their high of 13 million viewers in 2005. The broadcast television industry has changed dramatically in the past decade and the 4 million plus that ‘The Amazing Race’ does every week is pretty solid in the fragmented entertainment world of 2017. Anything that can aggregate a large, mainstream audience week after week is a very valuable commodity for the legacy broadcast networks.
We’re getting involved with ‘The Amazing Race’ late in the game and there are only three episodes remaining, two of which will air on Thursday with the Season Finale on June 1.
